Change is Good

Winter glum is upon us. New Years Resolutions make us want to change everything about ourselves and our routines...when in reality we just want to make ourselves better. Whether is be more fit, healthier, happier, more organized... we all have goals. We just sometimes don't know where to begin! 

With me, I find my biggest problem is not making goals; it's getting over my fear of change. I like to have control of everything that goes on in my life.  A little bit of change makes me lose some of the control that I have. 

I have (in my mind) made a list of things I would like to achieve, I mean....I am only young once! Whether it be places I want to travel, to save money, to move away, to travel, to run every week... it's all important!

I though perhaps if I shared everything that I though on my public blog I would be more apt to achieve my goals. I mean anyone in the world could be reading this right now, I wouldn't want to disappoint anyone and not become the person I wish to be.

I think that saying has always been imprinted in my mind...now I need to become the change! Below I have a list of things I wish to do with my life...I know things change and this list might change as I grow, but it's a start. 

  • Save money to buy a house
  • Visit Paris, France
  • Start putting my entire self into my work, whether it be at my daytime job or here on the blog or writing for Fashion Munster. I need to be more focused and involved. 
  • Start to be more environmentally friendly and aware of the affects. I do love animals, I love everything about them! I also love the Earth. We can't all be happy if the world is ridden with pollution and entire species are dying off so that we can use hairspray out of a can or have all the lights turned on in the house! I have joined Peta2 and I am going to start making a difference. Everything helps!
  • Be more fit and active. Winter months are so hard, all we want to do is be lazy underneath our warm blankets. I want to continue to do my daily workout routines, jog more, dance every now and then and get back into doing yoga every week! It really does calm the mind and help your body. I think I will be more comfortable in my own skin if I still keep the curvy parts of my body, but tone it up! I don't want to lose a bunch of weight. 
  • Be healthy! I need to eat more fruits and vegetables, drink more water, take vitamins and supplements...
  • Take better care of my skin. My skin is very sensitive, I know what works and what doesn't... I need to continue to use my night cream, sunscreen, Bio-oil and moisturizers. They work and they help!
  • Be happier. I wear my heart on my sleeve and I worry about things that don't necessarily matter! It brings my down, and causes stress that I don't need. 

So this is a short list of things I want to start doing. It may not seem like much, but it all adds up. I believe it will help me make whatever impact I want to on the Earth while I am here :)
