Beauty : Avoid Chapped Lips this Winter

In the winter, my lips get so dry and practically nothing can help them. However, I have found a few products and techniques that keep my lips smooth and kissable all winter long.
Step 1:
Lip scrub. Lip scrubs are the best way to get rid of all the dead skin on your lips. They are rough but gentle enough to not cause any bleeding or irritations. If you tend to pick at your lips a lot, lip scrubs will get rid of all that dead skin that you tend to pick at. My two favorite lip scrubs are from LUSH. If you don't want to invest in a lip scrub you can easily make your own with this recipe:
2-3 tbs. Coconut Oil
1 tbs. Honey

Step 2:
After you use your lip scrub it's super important to take advantage of those freshly scrubbed lips and apply a thick coat of a heavy duty moisturizing balm or vaseline. I swear by Nivea lip balm. It goes on smooth and nourishes my lips all night long while I sleep. I do use it during the day as well, but I find it works even better after I use a simple lip scrub.
Step 3:
When you wake up in the morning your lips will feel as soft as a baby's bottom and will be super duper smooth. You will want to make that will last by having moisturizing lip balm on you AT ALL TIMES. Some of my favorites are: Burts Bee's, Nivea, Baby Lips and EOS. Even if you put lipstick on make sure to apply a coat of your go-to lip balm underneath as a primer to keep them from chapping throughout the day! Luckily, using the balm first lets your lipstick last longer too so it really is a great thing to do for your lips!

These are such wonderful ideas! I always used to have a sugar scrub by Sarah Happ with brown sugar - it was so tasty haha! :P I love your idea though, will have to bookmark this for the time when mine runs out.
