Camilla Belle Cosmo Interview + 24-hour Cotton Runway Show

Camilla Belle

Camilla Belle is one of the current faces of Cotton, The Fabric of Our Lives.

Her campaign has been one of my most favorites so far! The Brazilian vibe was purely amazing and very personable for Camilla as she is Brazilian herself.

Camilla even has her own blog posts on Cotton! Um... amazing! She shared her Grandfathers pecan pie receipe, fashion advice and even her carry-on secrets

Camilla Belle's Carry-On Secrets

Right now, Cotton is having their annual runway show in Miami. Why am I not there? Ahhh, maybe next year.

Camilla is appearing as a celebrity guest at the runway show and she was interviewed by Cosmopolitan magazine. Read the Cosmo interview below.

Tune in LIVE to the fashion show tonight at 8pm EST!

What was it like to be raised by a fashion designer?
It's been very helpful. It was all about fashion. She gave me a lot of style tips throughout my life. It's funny because I went to private school so clothing was never my top priority, until the weekend. But over the years, her influence really helped me learn to appreciate fashion…all those times going to runway shows and meeting all these designers.

Do you have a fashion icon you look up to?
My mother. I look at pictures of her when she was my age back in Brazil and it's so funny. It's like kind of boring in a way that we're the same exact person—I dress just like her! She's definitely a big influence on my style.

What is your best piece of fashion advice for women?
Always dress appropriately for where you're going. That's something my mother taught me that's so true. For example, if I'm going to a charity gala, I'm not going to be showing off my body or wear something tight—it's not appropriate. Now if I'm going to the Met Gala, then I'm going to go all out and wear something really nice.

What are your five beauty must haves?
Number one: an eye lash curler! A good facial moisturizer (Camilla like Yonka), a good moisturizing lip gloss or balm, mascara, and a concealer.

Tell me about your upcoming work.
I'm playing a Mexican-American girl in [the upcoming short film Zero Hour] that comes out this year, and I'm also going to be in a romantic comedy this year.

Do you feel that being Latina has been an asset to your career?
I think it's an asset to my life generally and in my career for sure. I've been able to play different nationalities and speak different languages. It's wonderful because it allows me to be more international. It's so important to have that contact with the film audience and be able to speak [in their language].
