Beautify Yourself : DIY Face Masks

DIY Post for Blog

A major issue for myself (and most women) is dry skin or oily skin prone to breakouts. Especially in these winter months, my skin gets to be quite dry and well... unhappy. There is a super simple way to perk your facial skin up by using products you probably already have at home. Of course, I have a few favorite facial masks that you purchase online and I will link them at the end of the post.

Get ready for some super simple DIY receipes to combat your oily or dry skin!

Let's get started!

Dry Skin DIY Mask
This mask recipe is for skin that is super dry and aching for moisture.

Ingredients:
½ very ripe, soft avocado
¼ cup honey

Preparation:
Mash the avocado in a bowl, then stir in honey.
Apply to skin and leave for 10 minutes.
Rinse face with a cool washcloth.

Oily Skin DIY Mask
This mask is perfect for super oily skin that is acne prone.

Ingredients:
2 tbsp honey
A ripe banana
An orange or a lemon

Preparation:

Mash up the banana, then mix in the honey. Or use a blender!
Add the juice from the orange or lemon.
Apply to face for 15 minutes. Rinse with a steaming warm washcloth.

My go-to store bought facial masks:
All LUSH masks are amazing! You can't order them online because they are made fresh and expire quickly. They are all handmade! See a list of some of the masks they carry HERE

Wild Rose + Vitamin C Advanced Brightening Sleeping Facial by Korres is AMAZING. You can purchase it at Sephora. This is more expensive than most facial masks, but it really does work and the small bottle actually lasts quite a long time.

GlamGlow Mud Mask really is perfection. Again, it is quite expensive but really does the trick and it is used by celebrities! You can purchase at Sephora.
