DIY | Black Tea Face Mask

I'm constantly looking for DIY/homemade beauty masks and products that I can make at home with ingredients I already own! It is cost effective, and yields the same results as using the more expensive, store bought product.

I came up with the idea of a DIY Black Tea Face mask after using a sample of the Black Tea Instant Perfecting Mask from Fresh. I always have used warm/steeped tea bags to de-puff my eyes or to get rid of a blockage in my tear duct. It is something very soothing that I learned when I was small from my Mom. After all, Mom always knows best.

To recreate the Black Tea mask I used the following ingredients:
~2 Black Tea bags
~Tea (1/4 cup)
~Coconut Oil (1 tbsp)
~Rose Water (1 tbsp)

I steeped the 2 black tea bags in boiling water, took the bags out to cool and cut them open to remove the used tea leaves. I put the used leaves back into the tea and added a little bit of rose water to de-puff along with coconut oil for moisture. It is optional, but you can also use mashed cucumber for a really great hydrating mask. This is also optional, but you can add some essential oil to change the scent if you don't like the scent of the black tea and coconut.

This mask only took about 5 minutes to make, and I let it sit for about 30 minutes on my face with really great results!
