Earth Day is important.

But let's be real for a hot second - our Mother Earth is important every day.

We take advantage of the resources, and natural wonders of our world. Not only are we affecting the climate, we are affecting the animal kingdom as a whole.

Our impact on the planet is catastrophic. Climate change IS real. The time is now to start trying to save the planet.

There are small things you can do each and every day to lessen your footprint :

1. Walk to work or take public transportation as often as you can. I started walking to work everyday, and I love it!
2. Have meat-free days or try being a vegetarian (the meat industry impacts the planet more than you think!)
3. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle - I remember talking garbage cans in elementary school taught me the importance of RRR - implement into your day to day life!
4. Go waste free. It's hard. But you can do it! It can be as simple as not using plastic bags for your product and taking reusable grocery bags to the market
5. Reject all straws. That's right. STRAWS. They may be small but they add up. Imagine how many people in front of you in line are getting beverages with straws? All that plastic waste ends up somewhere. I will link some reusable straws below. 

There are many things you can do to create a difference. It just takes a moment of asking yourself "is this good for the environment?". Remember - being GREEN is sexy.

The turtle behind me was made entirely of plastic waste (approximately one TON) and was designed to bring awareness to environmental awareness and the local endangered wood turtle. Go visit this art installation and take some selfies! It's located on Assumption Blvd., behind the Starving Artist Cafe.

I love Canadian brands. 

MaskerAide is one of my top companies to try masks from! I recently received a box full of face masks, lip masks and under eye patches. I was literally on Cloud 9.

MaskerAide is also the newest favourite on my #GreenIsSexy list. They are cruelty free, their products are free from parabens, mineral oils, sulfates, phthalates, benzophones and are even a part of PETA's "Beauty Without Bunnies" program!

I took time to enjoy each product so I could give the most accurate review. I love a lazy Sunday having a bubble bath, with a face mask on reading a Harry Potter book for the millionth time because I love it so much. This was the perfect excuse to do this almost everyday.

My favourite sheet mask was the Weather Warrior with a close second favorite, Beauty Rest'ore. My skin very much dislikes the cold Canadian weather over the Winter months and will get very dry and tender, the Weather Warrior made it seem like I had been vacationing in Bora Bora for the past 6 months. Amazing results - my skin was smooth and hydrated. The Beauty Rest'ore mask did just that - restore. I used it right before sleep, and I woke up with the most gorgeous skin! You would think I was going on 9, not 29. It really made my skin glow from the inside out, and was perfectly hydrated and soft. A definite win!

I sincerely enjoyed the lip masks, my lips were plump and were moisturized beyond belief afterwards. I had a bit of difficulty figuring out how to put it on, but if I had just read the directions I would have been fine (I put them on backwards at first). The eye masks were a true delight and really tightened and brightened my under eyes. I work from 7AM-330PM and wake up at 545AM to walk to work everyday. These eye masks are a lifesaver!

I am a huge advocate for MaskerAide products. The packaging is adorable and the products are no joke. I would suggest all my family and friends to try out this brand! MaskerAide has changed my skin, and being an *almost 30* year old - skin care is a huge deal for me. There are masks that suit every skin type, and are perfect for every woman.
